Evening light is a delight for any photographer, but during that time when the light is at a low angle is a wonderful time for an architectural photographer to capture the shape and angles of his subject. The low sun will create long shadows, though, and often there is no way to remove them. The only option left then to make a good architectural photograph is to place the shadows in a good spot to use them to your advantage. The entry shot on this award winning school posed the problem with the flags.
