Theaters have been around for a long time in the history of architecture. Both Greeks and Romans staged performances in them, everything from dramatic and comedic plays to competitions of skill. At their simplest, theaters are places to gather for conversation and camaraderie; at their most complex they ‘re emporiums of entertainment. In today’s theaters we can view plays and concerts, or enjoy motion pictures. As an architectural photographer it is my task to preserve the spirit of the theater with a visual record.
