The beauty of a twilight photograph for an architectural photographer is that even he or she cannot predict what it will look like. Oh we will visualize it, mentally compose it, light it, and spend lots of time getting everything just right—but we can’t control the atmospheric condition and the other intangibles which will affect the film. When all the variables work together, though, the picture will have a serenity which just isn’t present in many other photos.
