I have been told that not all states have an arts project like the 1% for the arts which both Alaska and Washington have for public building projects. I think it is a good use of funds, even if controversial. As an architectural photographer, I often wish that builders and architects would have a similar program for photographers. That may sound flippant, but I don’t really think it is. Many important projects go undocumented, at least professionally so, and it’s a shame. Just a bit of the budget, set aside early, can provide so much.
