Procuring assignments as an architectural photographer is not always an easy task. Fulfilling the assignment is the fun part: it takes me to new places and buildings, and I get to see, touch, walk through renovations which I would otherwise not visit. Taking the picture is a joy, getting the assignment is the work. In and around Seattle, and all of the Pacific Northwest, there has been a boom in building renovations. Often by adding living space to an attic is better money spent than alternatives.
