Out on an industrial photography shoot, the noise level is often so high that not only is it hard to hear, it is hard to think! Of course ear protection is advisable, and some areas require that you wear a hard hat; a good industrial photographer will be prepared for any of these situations. I enjoy receiving the opportunity to go to a military or industrial complex to take pictures. It is always an interesting experience, and a good lesson in engineering photography and just engineering in general.
