This is the before photo of a historical renovation. I photographed the after picture also, and it is on the previous page. In architectural photography, it isn’t often that I am presented with the opportunity to chronicle evolving history. What once had been a lumber baron’s mansion is today a credit union. Because the building was listed with the historical register, the architect was constrained by what was and what wasn’t allowed. All in all, the outcome was quite satisfying.
